6 OUT OF 8 AINT' TO SHABBY......
8-1-07 This photo taken about two weeks ago at J.'s wedding has six of the eight General Strike
members in it! The most General Strike members you will ever see in one place at the same time!
Kyle Bile and Jason Riot were the only two not present! The photo can be seen in its full form
on the Photo page! Also goodbye to Darrin Detour who left for New York City this morning,
where he will be living! Good luck Darrin, we'll be sure to keep the porch light on for you!

7-26-07 Been a little busy around here lately, with everyone in J. Chaos' wedding on July 21st, so we were finally able to get photos up
from the final show on 7-7-07. The pics can be seen as always on the Photos Page! Congratulations to J. on his wedding! Also above we
will have a percentage count of the final album's progress. As parts are completed the counters will be updated! Stay tuned for more
updates!
ONE NIGHT IN THE STUDIO................
6-30-07 Studio time Thursday night started out a little rocky but ended turning out alright. Four new songs were recorded, plus two classic
General Strike tunes as well! We have a little more up our sleeves, so stay tuned! Pictures from Thursday night's recording session can be
viewed on page four of The Photos Page if anyone out there in cyberspace is interested!
FINAL SHOW, STUDIO SESSIONS, AND GOODBYES..............
6-16-07 Well the time is almost upon us! General Strike will be going into the studio one final time on June 28th as an entire band, to record
some new material, and should be playing their final show July 7th at Tony's Bar in Newark, Ohio, at 9pm with special guest Lord of the Yum
Yum! There has been talks of other venues wanting the band to play one last time, but this is all still up in the air. Darrin will also be moving
at the end of July to New York City, but the band will be in the studio after that probably till the end of the year recording and mixing songs!
The album should be released sometime next year and will be available through this site!

2006 NEWS
JUST LIKE CLOCKWORK...............
10-28-06 Thanks to everyone that came out to the show last night at Bernie's Distillery! All the boys from General Strike dressed up as the movie
Clockwork Orange! Also thanks to the bands Midget Finger, and Joey Blackheart and the Gallows. No thanks to the fat ass fuck from Bigfoot and
the Fully Automatics! This fat bastard needs to learn that everyone gets a turn. But what can we say, after him running his mouth all night, and
then the boys from General Strike throwing beers on him and trying to provoke him, he would most definitely back out! There will be show trades to
other areas of Ohio with the bands except for Bigfoot. You can check out the pics as usual on the Photos Page! Thanks again everyone, except for
you, you lard ass pussy!
SECRET SHOWS, ALBUM UPDATES, SURGERIES...............
9-24-06 Here we are again. Friday the 29th of September General Strike will be playing at Buckaroo's in Newark, Ohio. This is a secret show that is so
secret to us that we don't even know all the details yet. Keep checking our MySpace page for all the specifics on this show! Also we will be playing at
Bernie's Distillery October 27th. More will be posted about that show in the next few weeks. The "Waste" album should be released within the next
month or so, but nothing still confirmed on that. We have written and rehearsed several songs for our new album that will be recorded next year. A
couple of these songs will be unveiled on our October 27th show. We won't really go into any details about them yet but it does appear that this will be
another crazy album for us. Mr. Timebomb has just recovered from the surgery on his wrist and we have started playing and rehearsing more frequently
again. More updates on everything soon.

bottom of this page!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY.....
4-15-06 Eight years ago General Strike was formed. This monthis our eight year anniversary. Who would have thought that we
would have lasted this long. We sure didn't! Eight years ago we were practicing in a garage, not knowing the first thing about being
in a band, writing our first songs, and getting ready for the first showthat we would ever play as General Strike. Now, eight years later,
over two hundred shows, five albums and meeting some of the craziest people in the world, we are still alive! Thanks to everyone
who has supported us over the years, it has been a fantastic trip!
OUT ON THE GREEN................
4-5-06 Last week Mr. Detour and Mr. Chaos were out on the green playing a few holes in between practices. Notthat really has anything
to do with the band's music, butwe thought that it would be funny to put these pictures up. Darrin did manage to hit J. in the leg with a golf club
but it was still a good time!
BOB IDOL SPEAKS ONCE AGAIN............
3-26-06 Bob Idol is back with even more rants, and more outrageous stuff than before! Check out Bob's new words to the wise at his blog site!
More than likely Bob will explain the secrets to the universe, the meaning of life and everything else in between. Bob the messiah has come to share
his wisdom with everyone, so best listen up!
ASK THE STRIKE......
3-20-06 Check out the new Ask the Strike Feature. You can e-mail General Strike and get a hilarious answer back... or maybe even worse!
All note worthy questions will be posted with a response from the band members. Anything goes and no bars held......
BACK IN THE SADDLE AGAIN.....
3-17-06 Well, it's official, we're back again. Practice resumed todayfor the first time in a year and a half, after we decided to take rest from
the rock and roll life. Just working on getting our chops back in shape again. We will be playing shows again in the next few months.
Everything went pretty good, but it will take a little while before we're back on top. See you soon!
NEW SITE DESIGN
1-1-06 Happy New Year everybody! Welcome to the new design for the Official General Strike Web Site! Most of the features are the same but
we've updated the Photos, and Flyer Archives pages. Also the lyrics page has disappeared, but you can go to the Discography page and click on
each song and see the lyrics! We've also added the new Download of the month feature!
This month's download, in honor of deer season, is Inbred, our rockabilly influenced song all about being inbred in the state of Ohio. Check it out and
let us know what you think!
We are releasing a new album in the next few months called "Waste" which is a collection of B-sides that were recorded from 2001-2004. Some of the
songs appeared on various singles and compilations over the years, and others have never been released. These are some of our favorite songs and
and we hope that you enjoy them once they are released. Thanks to DJ Thorne for mixing the track "Kung Fu Dry Butthole"!
We have already started on a brand new album that we will release sometime next year. Sad to say that this looks to be our last album. We feel that we
have accomplished all of the goals that we originally set out to do with General Strike. Some of us will join other bands, some of us will not. Jason
Timebomb will be the guitarist this time, and Darrin Detour will be playing drums. Mike Alcohol and J. Chaos of course will be onboard as usual. Shawn
Mayhem may be playing with us as well as a third guitarist, on the album only, but of course this is all up to Shawn, who is over in Iraq right now fighting
in the war. No word yet if we will do any live shows for this album or in the immediate future, but we will be sure to let you know!
Also be sure to check out Shawn's new web site, which details his daily events in the war in Iraq. We wish him best of luck and safe passage in his travels.
See you soon everyone!
Also congratulations to J. Chaos' engagement to his long time girlfriend Beth, on New Years Eve 2005!
And also Jason Timebomb starts his reviews of the holidays this year!
